Interrail One Country pass is valid on the railway lines of one participating country, and 30 European countries plus Russia accept the pass. The Interrail One Country pass is ideal if you wish to travel within just one or two countries - simply buy a pass for each country you want to explore.
The Interrail One Country pass is valid for a month and you may travel on as many days as you have purchased the pass for. These days do not have to be consecutive, allowing you to do a multi-centre itinerary, stopping in one or more places for a few days before moving on.
The Interrail One Country pass is available to persons who normally lives in Europe or has lived in Europe, or any of the countries participating in the Interrail offer, for at least six months immediately prior to the first day of travel.

These rail passes are ideal for use in conjunction with flights. Fly into a country and then use the pass to explore! Interrail One Country passes are available in 3, 4, 6 or 8 days validities. There are three age groups: Youth (under 26 years of age) 2nd class, Adult 2nd class and Adult 1st class.

The Interrail One Country pass is available in 4 different price levels, and each participating railway has decided which price level should be applied on the pass for its own country.

The 4 price levels and the countries in each group are:

Price level 1 - France, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden

Price level 2 - Austria, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Finland, "Greece Plus" (including ferry Greece-Italy), Republic of Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland

Price level 3 - Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania

Price level 4 - Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey

Interrail One Country passes are personal and are not transferable, and the passholder must be able to provide proof of identity when required by railway staff.
Before using the pass, the passholder must validate it by inserting the date and month in the relevant box (i.e. 28 June = 28/06).
By validating the box, the passholder has unlimited travel on the chosen date, however if travelling on a train departing after 19:00 hours which reaches its destination overnight you can validate the pass for the arrival day rather than the departure day.
If the date is not entered before the beginning of the journey, the traveller might be subjected to a fine of a maximum amount of €50 or the equivalent in local currency.
The Interrail One Country pass is inclusive of most supplements for Quality and High Speed trains.
The Interrail One Country railpass cannot be purchased by a resident of that country. i.e. a German resident cannot buy the Interrail German pass.
Seat reservations and sleeping accommodation charges are not included in the pass price.
Some services require the payment of a small supplement, including ICE in Germany, Eurostar Italia in Italy, Pendolino S220 in Finland, X2000 services in Sweden etc..
Some train services are not covered by the pass, however special discounted fares are available on most of them including 'Elipsos' Trenhotel services between Spain and France/Italy, 'InterCityNight' services in Germany, 'Thalys' services between Paris and Brussels/Amsterdam, 'Artesia' services between France and Italy, 'Lyria' services between France and Switzerland, etc..
